Regulations

1. The official season is from June 8th to September 20th 2013.
2. To qualify for the official listings and to receive the exclusive CV pack you have to register and pay the appropriate fee.
3. You can start from whichever mountain hut you wish, and you can follow the route in either direction.
4. On registering you have to select one of the three categories. This cannot be changed once you have started.
5. You should complete the trek within the time limit of your chosen category. Your time will not count for another category.
6. At each of the mountain huts the wardens will stamp your card, noting also the date and time of arrival.
7. Please not that the official opening hours at the mountain huts are from 7 am to 20 pm.

   Out with these hours you will have to stamp your own card (the stamp will be made available for this purpose).
8. At the end of the season the official classification will be published on the CV website.
9. We recommend that you make your reservation in advance.
10. The organisation cannot be held responsible for any problems that may arise in the course of the trek. We thus recommend membership of the FEEC, FEDME or similar organisations affiliated to the UIAA.
11. One night in half pension is obligatory in all categories. Also any other night reserved should be in half pension.

• We recommend that you do not trek alone nor, if trekking with a group, that you leave any member of the group on his/her own.
• Organise your itinerary according to the physical, psychological and technical abilities of the entire group.
• Ensure that you are adequately equipped and that your equipment is in order.
• Check the weather forecast and mountain conditions before setting out.
• Always carry water and drink regularly.
• Use sunscreen.
• If visibility is greatly reduced due to fog, seek shelter and wait for the fog to lift.
• In the event of a storm stay calm. Do not seek shelter under isolated trees.
