How To Get There

How to get there

From Barcelona you approach the Park by the C16, Barcelona-Puigcerdà road.

To reach Lluís Estasen and Gresolet, turn off the C16 at the junction between the tunnel at Collet and the village of Guardiola de Berguedà, and follow the B400 towards Saldes.

To arrive at Gresolet, turn right just after Saldes petrol station. Follow the track for 8 kilometres right to the door.

To arrive at Lluís Estasen, continue on B400 past Saldes for another kilometre or so. Just after the 17 km post, turn right and follow the road for 4-5 kilometres to the Mirador. From there the hut is about a 15 minute walk, following the footpath signs.

To get to Rebost or Sant Jordi you have to enter the town of Bagà. From there Sant Jordi is at 3 hours walk, or 2,5 hours from Gréixer, which is situated north of Bagà. To arrive at Gréixer you have to drive on Coll de Pal road (BV4024), and when this road makes a sharp right turn, you find the last Parking area before Sant Jordi Mountain hut. For Rebost, follow Coll de Pal (BV4024) road for 13,5 kilometres, leave the car at the start of the forest track and walk 10 minutes down to the hut.
From Coll de Pal you can reach Niu de l’Àliga shelter, is at 1,5 hours by foot. You can  also arrive at Niu de l’Àliga by Castellar de N’Hug road (BV4031), the N260 (collada de Toses) and via Cadí Tunnel and Cerdanya. If going by the tunnel, you arrive at Masella. From there a 4×4 track lets you arrive at a point which is 4 kilometres far from the hut. Alternatively you can take the cableway Alp 2500 at La Molina, which leaves you at 10 minutes by foot of the hut.

Serrat de les Esposes is approached from the service station at the northern end of Cadí Tunnel. Follow the signs to Riu de Cerdanya, then take the track towards Coll de Pendís for 7 kilometres, there you will find the hut. 5 kilometres further on the forest track to Coll de Pendís itself is closed by a barrier. From that barrier, Sant Jordi is at 45 minute walk away. Els Cortals de l’Ingla is just 2 kilometres further down the track. Tracing the same route in reverse from Bellver de Cerdanya and Tallo, Els Cortals de l’Ingla is 8 kilometres from town, Coll de Pendís 10 kilometres and Serrat de les Esposes 15 kilometres. Note however that parts of the track from Bellver are more suited to 4×4 vehicles.

Prat d’Aguiló is located 13 kilometres south of Montellà at the end of a forest track. To reach Montellà turn south off the N260 Puigcerdà to Seu d’Urgell road at Martinet.
